Experience the museum landscape

Children and adults can explore the landscape around the historic brickworks. At the nature-oriented Dwarves Workshop (Zwergenwerkplatz), there is space to make tiles and learn how to lay a roof, play and stop for a barbecue. Ride the historic trolley on the tracks between the brickworks and the clay pit, and visit the biotope behind the brickworks to spot animals and plants. 

Tile Making and Nature Explorer sets can be borrowed at reception and are included in the price of entry.

Museum

The Ziegelei-Museum is the only one of its kind in Switzerland. Follow the history of clay, from raw material to material culture, in our main exhibition, or learn more about selected topics in our special exhibition.

We offer guided tours and workshops for groups, events such as birthdays, and school classes.
